Welcome.

I have a blog.

Procrastination 0, rocket 1.
(this only applies to the past 5 minutes. I wouldn't dare admit the real scores - even if I knew.)

1. Blog
2. Content (it's on its way I promise!)
3. Profit?

Welcome.

Getting a blog feels like such an achievement; but I'm not sure that it should.
I lurk on slashdot for years, religiously reading every day, taking pride in knowing the headlines whole days before they appear in the print media. Yet I never post in slashdot's discussions. I read blogs and articles online for hours a day but never write anything, and never comment.
Whenever I think about contributing to online discussions, I tangle myself in a loop of self-doubt. Why would anyone care what I have to say? And besides, enough Google-fu and I can find someone with my point of view, thus allowing me to put off contributing for one more day.

Still, I've got something to offer, but I'm not sure yet what that thing is.

Joel Spolsky believes writing is a muscle; if that's to be believed (and I think it is), my writing muscle as it stands couldn't lift a rose petal.

So this blog is primarily my output for strengthening my writing muscle - which I hope will improve my communication skills. At the same time I hope it becomes an interesting place for people to come and stay for a while.

I'd enjoy your company.
